Grade Datasheets
| Grade | Description |
| Case Hardening | |
| Atlas U250 (107 kb) |
Ferritic-Pearlitic flake cast iron grade. This is a cast iron product of average hardness (180 - 220 HB) and is therefore recommended for uses where a balance is required between mechanical properties and machinability. |
| Atlas U300 (183 kb) | Pearlitic flake cast iron grade. This is one of the hardest qualities in flake or grey iron with hardness range 200 - 250 HB. It is therefore used when high tensile strength and/or wear-resistance is required, because of its pearlitic structure. Its surface finish is excellent because of its superior structural cohesion. This grade can be surface hardened. |
| Atlas U400 (114 kb) | Spheroidal-graphite ferritic cast iron grade, also referred to as ductile cast iron. It is applied when machinability and a good surface finish are the required characteristics. Because of its ferritic structure it is recommended for uses requiring high heat and/or electric conductivity, as well as good magnetic permeability. It possesses high ductility and reasonable toughness. |
| Atlas U500 (138 kb) | Spheroidal-graphite pearlitic-ferritic cast iron grade, also referred to as ductile cast iron. It has an improved wear resistance over ductile cast iron with ferritic structure (Atlas U400) and is applied when minimal friction of the component with other parts and/or materials is required in combination with machinability and a good surface finish. |
